My Story
Piece of Mind was created for those in need of peace of mind. Before I came up with this creation, I first thought of the things that I love to do, that made me feel good and helped me escape from a low vibrational space. Then, I expanded on it. Puzzles were one of the hobbies that kept me sane, especially after having a child and being a first time mom. As some moms can relate, motherhood is bittersweet, all the ups and downs, but that's what makes it a beautiful learning and growth process. Some days were very high and others very low, and I was searching for that balance in between. When it came to puzzles, I loved the process of connecting all the pieces, finding serenity and finally seeing how beautiful the image was once all the pieces were put together. After meditating and asking for guidance for expanding something that I was passionate about and could share with others, I then asked for guidance on the perfect name. That's how I chose Piece (peace) of Mind. Not only are you piecing the puzzle together but also at peace during the process.

Our Logo
I wanted to make sure my logo was original as possible and represented the brand's name, starting with the drawing to the colors I used. They all serve a purpose and meaning. The logo started with a vision first and because I love flowers and plants and there magical, medicinal properties, I created the passion flower right on the crown of the face.
The puzzle pieces that form the face represent the product, the multiple uses of beige and brown colors represent every shade of the community, especially people of color like myself. Give it up for a small black business owner! Woot Woot!
The passion flower represents peace. It's magical properties, as quoted in Scott Cunningham's, Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs, when placed in the home brings peace by calming problems and troubles. When carried it attracts friends and great popularity. It is also placed under the pillow to aid in sleep. It's medicinal properties are used for anxiety, depression, insomnia, and even seizures.
The colors, blue represent tranquility, balance, expression, and the throat chakra; purple/violet for faith, healing, compassion, higher consciousness, and the crown chakra; orange for creativity, positive energy, joy and the sacral chakra; green for love, self-love, forgiveness and the heart chakra; and last but not least, turquoise, my favorite color, just for a little razzle dazzle and all the love, emotion and energy i put into my business/products.
Piecing The Puzzle
Each and every puzzle is created using my own personal images whether drawn, captured or painted by me. I also create custom puzzles if you want to submit your own photos or graphics. Each puzzle will come with a frame, that way once your masterpiece is complete you don't ever have to take it a part. It's totally up to you! But I figured why not create something that can hold these pieces together.
Pieces of Mine
I have decided to cater my brand not only to puzzles, but other crafts and creations. So, please be on the look out for original artwork. pre-drawn canvases for sip 'n' paint parties and other crafts!
